Just bought my Eurail pass! It's the most expensive thing I'll buy other than my ticket but I love the freedom I will have with the 2 month continuous global pass. As the time approaches and I try to plan, but not over plan, I am already realizing the differences I am going to encounter in Europe. It seems to me that they live their lives in a much more present sense than we do in America.

I have been reeling over the thought that one can only imagine fantasy and reality as we know it, as we have been taught or shown, and that there are things I am going to see and experience that I CAN'T imagaine because I haven't been exposed to them before.

Each day my itinerary changes just a little bit and I am rolling with the punches. I am so excited to get it completed and post it here!

I have so much to do and so much to see, but my focus for this journey is me.

Me being able to:

conquer Europe on my own, to take care of myself and stay healthy and safe, to use my resources and things I have been taught by family and friends to survive, to learn how to trust people and allow them to show me a new perspective on life, to put myself out there and re-learn how to network and small talk, and appreciate the littlest, tiniest things...so much, one step at a time....BUM FOOT AND ALL! ha

Well we are at 43 days and counting until departure...so much planning goes into this that it can get overwhelming. I am so lucky to have found the CouchSurfing organization and the support of my family and friends for this epic journey! As anyone who knows me can attest I am not very technologically advanced so keeping up with a blog and uploading things and such is a learning process. This is going to be so amazing I don't want to forget anything so I will be diligient about updates for that reason and to keep my family's minds at ease that I am alive and well. :)
