Happy as a Pig in Mud

Sitting in a cardboard box at the top of the muddiest hill I have seen in my life, after two day straight of rain, with a helmet camera strapped to my head, thinking this is probably not the best idea I have had recently. My origional plan was to volunteer at a Hostel in Bucharest for a while but I had somehow managed to get myself signed up for a military camp simulation in the mountains in Romania. I will admit the idea of loosing myself for a week, no WIFI, no technology, just the outside world and the chance to prove myself sounded perfect. Going out to the countryside, making fires, building tents, it sounded like just what I needed. however after the constant rain and our military experience being put on hold, I was starting to get cabin fever, or rather tent fever being cooped up all day. Never the less, me being the bright spark I am, decided we needed to boost camp morale and literally muck around. I approached my newly asigned squad, and as their appointed squad leader, lord knows how, I assigned them the mission of finding a suitable container for my attempted hill decent. I feel I should be worried at how quickly my squad and I should mention supposed friends jumped into action. After 10 minutes I was presented with a ridiculously narrow, soggy box and was told "There you go".
The accent up the hill took longer than anything else. Watching me walk for some reason is like watching bambi's first steps, but on not so suitable group it's more like drunk bambi on ice. After my team had successfully dragged my muddy butt up the hill, I was assisted/forced into this narrow box. My fate lay at the bottom of this hill, there was no going back now. I made such the record button was flashing red amd shouted "I'm ready.' My eager squad rammed me off the edge of where my box and I were precariously balanced and I began to descend. I made it about a meter before I was ejected from my box due to it's narrowness and propelled head first down this steep hill. I feel I should have been more worried for my safety but my only thought was, if I make this and the camera doesn't i'm screwed. I managed to grab onto a tree root and navigate my self into a sausage roll down the hill instead of the head first approach I was currently fashioning. When I made it to the bottom of the hill, I took a moment to place myself, make sure I was still in one piece and could stand up. With a big grin on my face I said "Let's do that again."
