Travelling to Bhutan will be once a lifetime experience for me as I am passionate about photography, adventure and travelling. I would like to tell my story through the lens of a camera by taking great pictures that will impact on people’s lives as well as accomplish my goal of becoming a professional photographer in travel photography.
My background in photography comes from teaching myself over the years and I would love to learn from professionals in the field. I believe this opportunity for me as I will be dedicated to learn all I can from the experts who will enable me sharpen my photography skills and to take me to whole new level. The skills and knowledge acquired from this experience will not only enable me to kick start my career in travel photography but will be able to share it with other upcoming photographers in my country. I am passionate about nature and environmental issues and therefore I will be able to highlight on these issues well thanks to the skills acquired. For these reasons give me this opportunity because am ready to learn and to make in the field of photography.
My photos were taken in Kenya a place called Ukambani that is located on the eastern side of the country. The area posses a scenic beauty and unique features that makes the area worthwhile to visit.
Characterised by a rich forest at the peak at one end and a rocky rugged terrain on the other side that makes up the river bed. The forest provides a cool breeze that influences the local climate of the area. The seasonal river supports thousands of the local community living in the area. In the case of harsh weather the people are forced to dig up ponds in the river bed to retrive water for consumption. Water is a precious commodity as explified in the photo.
