A 'place' I have visited

My name is Kalyn Price. I am eighteen (really very young) and I am the perfect person for this scholarship. Not because my photos are fantastic (far from it) but because this is my passion. I take pictures to save a moment, we live in a world that is never still, it is constantly changing but a camera lets me capture a moment. For one single moment time stands still. Splotches of colors on a page become a piece of history something from the past, unchanging. I have a deep belief that every moment is important, every person, every flower, photography helps me capture that importance. It lets me keep a memory alive. I want so badly to learn to be better at capturing those perfect moments. I want to make art that will last, I want to be able to hand my great grand children pieces of the past that I was able to preserve. This is why you should pick me, so that I can help play apart in preserving history. I have so much to learn, a picture says a thousand words and I want the words of my photography to say meaningful ones.
