Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Laurenda van Breda. Im South African, living in Cape Town. Im a nature conservator by profession. I've only traveled locally so all my photos show "local living". I've always considered myself to have an "eye for photography" even though I only had a small digital camera. My interest in photography started very recently when I took photos with a compact camera and a world of creativity opened up for me. I could finally take photos that captured "that moment" I always heard about. I decided to take a short photography course to learn how an SLR camera works and I'm amazed at the kind of images I can create. I have always "traveled" through magazine images and I if I win, I would like to give others that same amazement of whats out there waiting for them to explore. I want to share my photographic moment with everyone.
