Ahoj! From Prague!

Singapore is behind me and now I'm in the heart of Bohemia! How enchanting!

My JOURNEY has taken me to the city of a thousand spires (so my guide book tells me), Prague.. Home of Franz Kafka and the Golem of Prague (well, DUH!).

So jetlagged after my 15 hour flight and I was so homesick on the Saturday after I arrived. I was on the phone crying to my parents. I came so close to asking to come home. Glad I didn't. I would have missed out on this amazing city.

It's beautiful. Dirty, but beautiful. It's a total mish-mash of architectural styles, from medieval to soviet style buildings all side by side. The Prgaue castle is amazing, but the walk up the hill is TORTURE. Someone build a chair lift PLEASE.

Well, I haven't really explained half of what I've done here. I promise to be more detailed in the next post. I PROMISE.

Maybe.

Cau!

It's hot and wet.

See that title? Magnify it by one hundred. So very hot and so humid you walk about 100 metres and you are covered in a thin film of water/sweat.

Spent the past two days in a huge electronics mall. I have about a billion photocopied pamphlets. So many trees died so I could know where to get the best deal of an external hard disk drive.

I haven't felt homesick yet, which is good. It's also surprising as the day before I elft I was petrified. But when I got on that plane I was fine. Though I haven't made it past the first (breif) stop. We'll see home I feel when i get to Prague and have stayed there for a few weeks.

Preparation is the key

Ok. Not long to go now.

I'm currently at the 'Oh
fuck. What the FUCK am I doing?' stage. With just 36 hours to go until
I leave Australia on a journey that I have been planning for 2 years
now I'm starting to get cold feet.

Is this what I really want? I know deep down it really is, but
something in the back of my head is worrying me. A voice telling me
that I'm going to regret this. Then there's another voice telling me
that I'm completely mental for even thinking that and it becomes a
round argument and it's doing my head in. FUCK!

Preparations
are going well. Visas are all in order, bags are packed, tickets and
important travel documents have been obtained and insurance has been
taken out. The going away party has been had and Bec gave me my
pleasure pack (Good going, sunshine!).

I guess I'm ready to go.
