Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Before leaving on my African overland adventure, I bought a recommended SLR camera. It served me very well for what I knew about photography at that time. I took many photos and most of them are good. Some of them are very good. A few are very, very good. Long before I completed my journey I knew I wanted to know more. I wanted to learn more techniques and certainly gain more knowledge, but what I really wanted was more ways to tell a story through a camera lens.

I had some help from my fellow travelers who had far more experience then myself and I am intensely grateful to them. The trip is now over, my wonderful fellow travelers have vanished to the four corners of the world. My desire to record the moments of life that become the history of living still remain strong.

I hope you will consider my application. I am raw and unshaped but I am worth investing in because I always do my very best, I have a good eye and a steady hand.
