Arrived Amsterdam Saturday morning after a long and tiring flight on "Kings Day" it was absolute madness everything orange Weather was gloriously sunny and warm beginning to think could have left winter wear at home

had to keep ourselves occupied until afternoon when hotel room was ready After shower and sleep we wandered around taking in the night life

Sunday - glad we had the warm clothes Woke to a grey and damp day we did the hop on hop off bus 1st stop Anne Frank House there was a 45min line up so we decided to give it a miss Back on the bus to do the loop and then get off at Heineken Brewery great experience

Yesterday was also football day and Amsterdam won we bypassed a great mob of people with police presence

Monday - checked out of hotel and spent the morning at the Zoo not as big as Taronga but quite good It filled in a few hours until it was time to join the River Duchess our home for the next 4 weeks
