stories from san jose

so have been at will's house in costa rica for 5 days, matthew ( we love u) straker has just left and have we had a fucking laugh, learning spanish, laughing at the lynch. Kryssia's parents have been total legends, they invited us over for dinner, picked us up from will's, drove us to their house where matt and i used them horifically for spanish practice, matt trying super hard to impress them with his spanish, with the help of a dodgy spanish dictionary, announced with total conviction, your house is ugly, much to their amusement and ours. they then took us to an amazing restuarant/museum with a fantastic view of the city at night, Nicky, will's neighbour ( new best friend) took us out on a drive on thurs around the san jose area, it is soooo stunning, once u r out of the city, San Jose is just an uran sprawl, no muy interesante, but the surrounding countryside is awesome, volcano's waterfall's blah blah, went for lunch at a typical Tico lunch place overlooking the river, fuck yeah. last night went to wanky wine bar , where we met a lovely canadian girl on a love quest with a dude in the costa rican gambling business, lots of that over here, all rich as fuck, so hung out with them, went to dodgy club, then bailed on that and went home to dance in the kitchen, woke up to bloody mary's and invites to go to beach house, , san jose starting to grow on me or is it the bloody mary's? off tomorrow to the beach on the way to nicaragua (nico)

back to san jose, wedding finito

The wedding is finished, it was beautiful, on the beach, the wine flowed, the food was fantastico, we have already worked out that if you add an o to the end of all english words you are speaking fluent spanglish. oh yeah
The salsa band was also amazing, the costa rican contingent danced like gods everyone else mainly the gringo's danced like total spastico's, how embarrasingo.
we hung out at santa teresa for another day and then got a lift to san jose, do you know the way? well luckily for us Nicky did, she lives next to will in the hills, mucho rustico.
Matt and i spent the night learning spanish, ant went to a strip club with his NBF from the wedding.

costa rican wedding

so we are all settled into santa teresa, a little surfing spot on the west coast of costa rica, lots of way too cool people here, gotta love it, the roads r so bad that you have to hire quad bikes to hoon around on, we had to fly here from the main land on a small charter plane, unfortunately the plane before ours crashed landing on the run way, not too badly, but enough so we couldn,t land, so we had to land somewhere else and then pay some locals from a nearby hotel to drive us the hour and a half to SA, obviously they fleeced us, but it was really good fun, they drove us through all the local shortcuts, through rivers and along the beach, we were accompanied by 2 austrians and 2 yanks, and we got the driver to swing past the local bottlo for mas cerveza,
looking forward to the wedding tomorrow , the house we are staying in has a garden that runs straight onto the beach, so thats where the wedding is,
after the wedding we have decided to head to guatemala as costa rica is mucho expensivo.
i am doing pretty well with my spanish, i have learnt how to say, my husband is disabled, ha ha, ant obviously is thick as fuck and can only say hello.
