I have been playing the corporate suit and tie game for over half a decade and was completely content with that until a recent travel experience completely changed the game. Sure I had gone on plenty of vacations before but my journey through Central America was the first time I had actually travelled.
With the guidance from a friend already living in Central America I set up a trip that involved learning Spanish, surfing, photography & videography. What I actually got out of the trip was far beyond anything I could ever imagine, I explored new countries, met the most amazing friends from all over the world, drank deeply in the amazing heritage and culture of places I had never been, tasted unbelievable food and more importantly realized how rich I felt with so little, all I needed was my backpack, a bus ticket to my next destination & an open mind!
This trip led me on another path, falling in love with photography and filming my experiences and editing my own videos from these experiences.
I am set to quite my corporate job in 1 month and I am planning to travel the world for at least year to learn more about other cultures.
I think I should win this contest because I have ambition to learn a new trade and new skill. I am very new at filming and photography how ever i believe it is something I could become very good at with a little practice and a lot of love.
Winning this could aid me in a new path to a better and happier life of pursuing something I really love.
