Day 4

:)

I actually managed to wake up this morning for Church. That’s a miracle on its own. The worship was amazing, Africans have such an amazing voice. The participation of the audience however was poor, for such a large congregation. Which is approximately 5 times larger than BCEC. The sermon was on Prayer, very similar to the sermon we had at BCEC. After the service I spoke to some of the people, who all seemed very friendly. I then left my Bibles and got on my way. (imagine me walking around absolutely clueless with no purpose..i think I have fitted in quite well)

After walking around for a while I tried to find an internet café, as the one at my hostel is extremely slow. But as it was Sunday everything and I mean ‘everything’ was closed. Therefore I’m back to my slow slow slow computer.

Its rained for a while today but was really sunny about 10minutes afterwards. Yesterday, I brought some soup and bread and had it for dinner, so today I just ate the leftovers. Im trying to save some money, so im just going to eat bread if im hungry.. it’s a good job I like bread eh..

What else had I done today..i have spent 3.5 hours on the computer trying to send emails and update my blog! Its so very frustrating..i don’t understand why the connection is sooooo slow! I think im losing my hair…and that’s not good news I don’t have much to lose as it is. The rest of the time I watched Wedding Crashers on my ipod which amused me for 2 hours.. That’s all I have done!

I’m going to go now, my contacts are about to pop outJ

My next post will probably be in 3-4 days as I’m starting my tour.

Day 2

I have slept 10hours! no joke! and i still
feel tired! >.< (total opposite from my usual)

I have found Nairobi Baptist
Church this morning, its
huge. Im planning on joining their service at 8:30am tomorrow...hopefully i
manage to wake up...lol

The weather here is a bit like UK atm.
Occassionally warm, raining and cool. Kenyan people have been friendly to me,
but im curious if its because they see me as a $ sign instead of a person...lol
Roads here are awful, soooo dusty with not many road signs. Yesterday my taxi
driver told me ' We follow British rules here on the roads', i was thinking
'yeh rite!'. I have found out the Africans like to walk, there are people
walking everywhere, with no purpose apparently lol. Today there are loads of
people walking around the city, i was told they are doing a 'walk for a
freedom'.So i joined in and walked with them for a while then i managed to get
a t-shirt which everyone was wearing for free! cool eh! but i gave it back
before i left.

Ive just exchanged my money..so im going to buy myself a cow to eat..bye..

Im back...

So i didnt exactly get to eat a cow...i wasnt sure where you can catch them from:) But i did have steak with mushrooms which cost about 8 pounds..i deserved it! (or so i keep telling myself) The meat was really tender but my gosh it was salty!:P but of course i ate all of it:) I took a bus with the locals to get to the restaurant which some nice lady told me about..it was soo strange i got on...looked back.. then saw all these black faces smiling at me with reli white teeth!! Did some shopping aswell..and of course i brought myself some mangoes..cant wait to eat them. I will just stay at my hostel for the rest of the day and chill...

Gtg now miss you all

Day 1

The flight was okay. I met some africans on the flight, but was too tired to talk to them (not like me eh) so only just quickly introduced myself then tried to get some sleep. I managed to wake up for dinner on the flight but was waaay to tired for my breakfast.

On leaving the airport i almost forgot to pick up my luggage and followed everyone else! >.< those who know me well will be thinking 'thats such a Joey thing to do'. Thankfully i manage to figure out i was missing something..phew!

I havent eaten since the flight as i have no shillings and im too tired to find a bureau exchange. Im not sure exactly why i am so tired...as i dont normally get jet lag, but anyways I need to sleep now..zZZ
