My name is Jimmy, from Jakarta, Indonesia. Photography is one thing I've known since I was a kid. My father is a photography lover too. It was him who made me fell in love with photography. Right now I'm travelling around Indonesia. I enjoy various kinds of art and cultural thing of Indonesia. I've been working for the documentation through my camera. In this opportunity, I'm sending some pictures of Vietnam Refugees on Galang Island, Indonesia, during my visit to the place months ago. The aim is to give more description about history of Vietnam Refugees in the island in 1979. . I really hope I could get the scholarship to widen my knowledge about photography, get promotion on my career and promote more, about Indonesia to the world, using my pictures. Nature is another object that attract me and Amazon is one of the place I really wish to visit. If I get the chance, I will be making documentation about Amazon too.

-What inspired me making this video are my concern to preserve native Jakarta traditional performance, Ondel-Ondel, from not existing and my respect to those young kids who make a living by performing this Ondel-Ondel while most of children of their age enjoy their childhood playing their American and Japanese toys.

-I experienced making video clips for some local Indi Bands. Less budget, but good quality. Now I expand subject of my films to tradition of Indonesia. this is sample of my music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gDjG5efStA

-I want to have a brighter career as a film maker in the future who tells the world the beauty of Indonesia sceneries and cultures with my films. I am sure this scholarship would help me a lot to achieve my dream.
