Essaouira - Steeped in history, facing West

Always involved in some sort of art creation, I came back to photography when digital made the medium more accessible and practical. I re-learned the craft while watching the professional photographers on product shoots for the mail order catalog I founded 20 years ago. Slowly I began to dabble in making the images myself. A workshop in Oaxaca, Mexico gave me a taste for directed learning by top-notch photographers, and that provided the spark that took my hobby to a passion. With time, I have merged my talent for writing with my love of travel and ardor for photography into a blog called JetsyTravels. But I know that my images could be better - more emotive and more compelling - with the training and critical eye of a world renown photographer - with Jason! I am intrepid, curious, and adventurous. I love nature and people. I am not squeamish about bugs or snakes. I don't complain and I eat everything. I am ready to jump head first into this opportunity and learn everything I can about how to be a great nature and travel photographer, and I would be thrilled to do it accompanying Jason to Peru.
