Mouth watering food lures me, charismatic people uplift me, and remarkable surroundings feed my artistic soul. I'm always hungry for a new place and new people. And when I'm not actually out and discovering; I'm watching The Travel Channel or Food Network Channel on my 19inch T.V. This love for culture has inspired me to become a double major in Communication and English with a photojournalism track at Virginia Tech. The two majors have definitely sparked my interest in culture and telling stories about people through words and photographs. I dream of a future where I'm able to travel and uncover the details that make cultures survive and prosper. Recently, my family has received an opportunity to work and live in Australia, a lengthy distance from my current Virginia (U.S.) home. I'm extremely excited to immerse myself in this new, exciting culture and I feel as though it will give me a wonderful opportunity to continue traveling and learning about the world that surrounds me. A keynote speaker, at the recent Leadership Conference I attended, emphasized to never cease to be amazed.
