Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

"School years are the best days of your life", grownups told me as a child. To these, who I presume never travelled, I’d say "My travel days were (and continue to be) the best days of my life." Travel has taught me more about the world, myself and this life than schooling combined. Travel is where I finally discovered my passion and drive in life, photography.
As soon as I set out on a round-the-world, "I'll be home in a year"..ish, adventure, I saw life through a lens, always capturing that "perfect" shot in my mind, if not on camera. My friends would nag that I was not truly experiencing what was in front of me, but to me, this was the best way, the only way. I witnessing 'once in a lifetime' moments, combined with what I loved best and getting to relive and share these moments over and over.
I haven't stopped since, expanding my skills at classes, wandering in my local area, or taking another trip, I always strive to look at familiar things in an unfamiliar way, and go where others have not ventured.
I doubt I’ll ever stop roaming, camera at the ready, for as long as there's world to see and new ways to show it, I’ll continue to aim high and make my passion my life. Everyday.

Photos: Eid Al Adha

Eid al-Adha, also called Feast of the Sacrifice, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to honour the willingness of the prophet ʾIbrāhīm to sacrifice his young first-born son Ishmael as an act of submission to God's command and his son's acceptance to being sacrificed, before God intervened to provide Abraham with a Lamb to sacrifice instead.
This is the ceremony I was welcomed to witness in Lombok, Indonesia.
