Paris Day 2!

Ok here is the rest of what we did in paris. the first thing that we did was that we went to the eiffel tower. we got to go to the third floor of it, which is the highest point that you could go to. the view form up there was amazing!! you could see evrything from up there. after, that we went to the lovre. we were only there to basically see the three major pieces of art that they have. you could spend at least a whole day in there to see everything that they have. the first piece that we saw was the mona lisa. that was better than you could expect. and it was a lot small than you would have though that it was. you wernet allowd to take any pictures of it, so sorry! the next thing that we saw was the le victoirie de samothrace. the last piece of art that we saw was the venus de milo, that is the statue that doesn't have any arms on it. over all the lovre was better and a whole lot bigger than i expected. than after that we went shopping some more, and that is where i got my first real french pastry, it was banana and chocolate flavored. it was so good! by the time that i got that, it was time to the train station and head back to the netherlands. well that was it for our last day in paris!

hello, every one!

today we went to rotterdam, and had a great time! we went on a tour of the harbor of where all of the cargo ships come in. we had perfect weather for it today!! we were on the boat for about an hour and 15 minutes. after that we went to the International Europort Business School and had lunch with the president if the school. it went pretty good. we met all of the stidents of that school and they gave us a tour of the school. it is not a very big school, it is only one floor of an office building. they only have about 15 students or so and it is a private school. after that our hosts came to rotterdam and we went shopping for rest of the day. thats all that we did today, so ttyl

well, today we went to the other campus in the city that i am in right now. there we had a 2 hour class of Dutch as a second language. it was pretty interesting. after that we went to the main campus and went to to an English class where they teach the proper British way of dpeaking English. It was alright, really didn't learn anything. but it was good. after that Liz and i went to another campus where we saw the section that Liz is going into. that was basically it for the afternoon, tonight we all went out to a pool hall and was there for a couple of hours, and then we went home. so, talk to you all later!

First Day in Holland!

Hello, again!

Well today went pretty well! This afternoon we had lubch w/ the VP of the I.D. College, It went pretty good! After that we went to the city of Gouda. We went with Maureen and Lex and they showed us some of the sites arounfd Gouda. We went to St. John's Church. It had a lot of stained glass windows that were pretty awesome looking!! After that we went to the City Hall type of buildin. I bought some Gouda cheese while were there. It is soo good. After we left "downtown" Gouda we went to the I.D. College campus in Gouda. There Liz and I went with a couple of teachers to the nursing part of the college, whil Jacob and DiAnte learned about the program that they have for law. Then thst was the end of the day! Oh, one more thing, we rode the bikes today!! It was soo much fun!! AAnd later tinight we have a surprise party for DiAnte at Maikel's place, since DiAnte is turning 21 today! So, I will tell about day 2 in Paris later!

Hey everyone!! Paris was so awesome! We all had a great time while we were there. The weather was so great. It was in the 70's and clear blue skies!! What more could you ask for?? The train ride over took three hours and it was not a bad ride. We left were we staying, went to Rotterdam, where we Robert got on, then we went to Brussels. After Brussesls we only had an hour train ride until Paris. We saw all of the major sites. You name it, we most lilkely went there!! I can't belive that we actually went!!! Well, right now I am at the school, so I have to go. I will update you on all the places that we went to later tonight, for you. ttyl!

Well, we made it!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we made it to Amsterdam around 11.15 am there time. Just to let you know that they are 7 hours ahead of us. The flight was long, but it was good. I didn't get to switch seats b/c we didn't ghave enoughg time before we left. Once we got here we had lunch at I.D. College and then we got a tour of the college. It was very nice. Then we had the rest of the day with the host families. I have met Charlotte's dad and her sister. They are very nice! Then Charlotte and her friend to the downtown in the oart of the ciry that they live in. It is a very nice place. An d the weather is very nice here. Couldn't ask for better weather!! Well have to go, dinner now. I will update in a couple of days since I don't think that I am going to take my computer with me to Paris. TTYL!

Today we leave!!

I can't believe that today is the day that we actually leave!! :) I am so excited about getting to go, I think that I am going to have a blast while I am there! When I am at the airport, I am going to try to get an upgrade to first class, especially for the flight over to Amsterdam, w/o having to pay for it. So I will let everybody know how that goes. Wish me luck!! Well, just wanted to put in a little update before I left today, so talk to you all later!
