time travel

I used to dream of visiting Egypt from as young as 5 years old. My grandad used to have a full set of encyclopedias which I always used to be amazed with, especially all the stories of ancient Egypt. I would spend hours reading about all the wonderful artifacts and buildings and the kings e.c.t It was like another world. Time passed and I have raised 5 children and really thought I would never fulfil my dream to visit this wonderous land. But I had a huge surprise for my 40th birthday as all my children had clubbed together to take me there. To see it all in real life was amazing. And in 10 days we managed to travel almost the whole length of the land. The sights and sounds were magical to me and I enjoyed the good company of a couple of local families along the way whom I keep in touch with. With their knowledge I was lucky enough to experience some things that would not have been possible otherwise.
