NEPAL | Monday, 11 June 2018 | Views [168]

Nepal is one of the most famous tourist destination in the world. It hosts among other things Mount Everest, valleys, and fertile river basins. If you love adventuring, this is one places you should definitely consider touring. Whether you want to trek in the Himalayas, or are intrigued by the Hindu culture and their temples and the Kathmandu city, visiting this country can give you an unforgettable experience. We had a great time travelling in Nepal via Drishya Travels. Here are few exciting things to do in Nepal.

1. The Annapurna Trekking Circuit

It is one of the most popular trekking regions in the world. It is also called the Apple Pie Circuit since most teahouses on the route serve their own Fried Apple Pie. It will take you 17- 21 days approximately to trek this circuit which is around the Annapurna Mountain. Trekkers hike this path anticlockwise since this way the daily attitude is slower and can view beautiful plateaus, flora, and fauna, etc. The construction of a road however, threatens the this circuit

2. Whitewater Rafting

With over 6000 rivers, the country gives you a variety of choices for rafting. Plus, you don’t have to be a pro to enjoy. Some of the best rivers to raft include Trisuli which is used mostly as an alternative method to get to Pokhara from Kathmandu and Kali Gandaki. Besides rivers there are also spring sees and various raft stretches for an exciting adventure.

3. Go on a Jungle Safari

Nepal is among the countries recognized for conservation of forests. Go on a wildlife tour in the Chitwan National Park. This park hosts a variety of animals including rhinos, tigers, leopards, mammals, birds and crocodiles. With the help of tour guides, who take visitors into the park on foot or on elephants, you will enjoy feeling much closer to nature.

4. Visit The Temples

Nepal is a home for beautiful temples and shrines. Some of the famous temples include swayambhunath and the Maya Devi temple. Swayambhunath is also known as the monkey temple since monkeys have made some part of it as their habitat. You will get amused with the Swayambhu stupa with a painting of the eyes of the omnipresent god. The Maya Devi Temple is dedicated to Gautama Buddha (the founder of Buddhism) mother. It has an ancient stone relief representing Buddha’s birth.

5. Trek To The Everest Base Camp

It is a famous trekking route in the Himalayas. This trek leads you through Khumbu Valley. You will also be able to explore Buddhist monasteries and ascend to Kala Patthar. The starting point of this base camp trek is Lukla but since there are no roads to Lukla from Kathmandu you will be forced to use a plane. However, there are other routes like Jiri which do not involve flying.

Being one of the most beautiful and designed places, Nepal is not just any other ordinary touring destination. Whether you love to read or to walk or to see, the country offers you that and much more. With these five tourists’ attraction sites, you are sure to have an excellent adventuring experience.
