A place i can no longer visit https://journals.worldnomads.com/jakec/ Thu, 30 Apr 2026 17:36:05 GMT World Nomads Adventures In 2009 i bought a one way ticket to Germany which was to be the start point of a planned 2 year European backpacking trip, however i stayed in Germany. Being out of my comfort zone surrounded by such a different culture with a language i couldnt speak, i found myself going through an enormous range of emotions on a daily basis. It was all these emotions that i struggled to express in a positve way. It was at this time i found myself becoming more and more interested in photography. I started photographing things that i had some form of emotional contact with, wich for the most part were things that fuelled my excitement and intrigue for this new country. As i took more photos i found that i was able to express and work with these emotions to produce an image that truely reflected how i was feeling.
