Photos: My Scholarship entry - Memories of South America

I have always been passionate about wildlife, and I would love to have the opportunity to combine it with my interest in photography. I recently started Zoology degree at university following a year in which I worked for several months to fund my travels during the latter half. I travelled through several countries in South America over the course of 3 months, staying in hostels and trying to make my budget last as long as possible. During my time in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia I dreamed of being able to visit the Amazon rainforest, but despite my efforts, it just wasn't financially viable. I would love to be able to experience the Amazon, especially with a camera in hand.
During my travels I had amazing experiences that I won't forget, and some experiences that I want to forget, but from which I learned a great deal. I documented my trip with an old Pentax Honeywell 35mm which I picked up on route. The photos you see here are from my time in South America.
