...This is not really a travel but more a life journey. I thought I knew who I was until I touched the US soil. I arrived in Miami in July, 2012. It was hot and sticky day and the smell of the streets reminded me of Kourou. Although everything was new: the English language influenced by Spanish pronunciation, the architecture, just everything. The first night I spent in the hotel room of an Art Déco Building I remembered what the custom officer asked me. "Who are you? You have a French passport and you are here to teach Spanish?". Yes, it was suspicious and made realize that I am a complex person, a sort of chameleon that tries to get inspiration from the places he lived and by the rhythms of songs played in foreign languages that become more and more familiar to the point that it's yours but still... who am I?
