Well, so much for that plan. I got to the train five minutes before it left, only to find out that I need a reservation. Drat. So now I've got a reservation for the next train going down that way, which leaves at 11.00. I think I've even got a return reservation for it. I *think*.
The only problem now is that there is no return train until 7.36 tomorrow morning, and I don't feel like paying for a hostel tonight. Well, I guess it's not really a problem, it just means I'll be sleeping on the beach tonight, most likely.
Oh, and I won't have any minutes on my phone whenever I get to Ljubljana tomorrow. I'll work something out though, as I'm already familiar with that city. Meanwhile, I get to explore Zagreb more. I've got my backpack in a locker back at the station, and I've been wandering around the city for a couple of hours now. I even found a nice, shady spot on a scenic overlook railing to sit down for awhile and write this.
The church bells are going off again so it must be 9.00. I think in a couple minutes I'll go down and find a grocery store so I can get some milk for breakfast, and maybe some more bread too if they've got it for cheap. I'm trying to keep today's spending around $10 in order to make up for going over budget a couple of days ago and gain some ground on top of that, so I'm down to my last 20.40 kn, or about five bucks American.
I'd like to check out the Archaeological Museum in town too, but I think they're rennovating it like they are with lots of other museums and landmarks around the city. Okay, that's enough writing for now.
