Hi everyone,

We just returned from Cambodia. It was amazing! The people were wonderfull and very friendly. In many ways, it has been the highlight of our trip. There are no words to truly describe the capital ciy of the Khmer Empire, Angkor. Although we have put a picture of Angkor Wat it doesn't really convey the magnitude and presence of the whole temple complex. There are several more temples than just Angkor Wat and they are all intricantely detailed and aweinspiring. We have many pics that we look foreward to sharing with you all. Our hotel was so nice and were sad to leave. Now we are back in Bangkok at Bangkok Palace room 1110 until the end of our trip. see you soon.

Dika and Hen

Chiang Mai - Day 3

Unfortunately, this is are last day in Chiang Mai. Today we began with a visit to the Orchid Garden. We than proceeded to the Mae Taeng Elephant Park where we got to ride the elephants (even out of the seat). We had a crazy mahout (elephant trainer) who liked to go off the beaten path, but it made for a very enjoyable and memorable ride. After the camp we went river rafting (bambou raft !) where Hen almost killed us. We just completed a walk through the old city of Chiang Mai and are getting ready to fly back to Bangkok this evening. We have posted pictures of our stay in Chiang Mai. Please let us know what you think. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone !

Chiang Mai-Day 2

Today I bought a HUGE guava and guess how much I paid...25 cents....but that is where the cheapness ends.... . We started this morning with a wonderful visit to the Doi Suthep Temple, located on top of a mountain overlooking Chiang Mai. It was very beautiful with a lot of gold work and intricate carvings. We even got blessed by a temple Monk [momR don't worry, we're still catholic :) . After that we were taken to the various different factories of products Chiang Mai is famous for: silk, laquer, gemstones and wood. This evening we attended a dinner-theater that served traditional northern Thai food and showcased regional dances from the Lanna empire and from the different hilltribes. Tomorrow, it's elephants ... .

Transit in Korea

Hi Everyone, we made it to Korea ! The flight wasn't so bad because we slept through at least 70% of it. However, can you believe that they did not show even one movie, except a Korean one. Now we are just hanging around in Incheon Airport, until our flight this evening. We cannot leave the airport on our own, unless it's with a Tour. The fact that we are not on this tour should indicate how much it costs per persone ! So, thats all for now, see you in Thailand.
