My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I have always loved all types of photography, especially macro photography, and I have been progressing my skills with focus on natural lighting effects and specific lens techniques. I'm a self taught photographer and I feel that I gain most of my knowledge by viewing others photographic pieces and discovering the the technique used behind the photograph and try to apply my own techniques to the photograph to create my own unique photo. and I must admit that I am not perfect and that I have much to learn, however I am always keen to get out in the field and try to refine myself to further my skill level. I find that "Practice makes perfect" is one of the most true statements when it comes to anything that wants to be further perfected.
