For me, it will be photograph by photograph. People tell me that my photos inspire them to get out in nature & appreciate the world around them. Through winning this scholarship I would learn to take more powerful images which capture the beauty of this precious planet, in turn inspiring greater numbers to appreciate, & protect, what we have left. I know whatever challenges & adventures Jason & the team throw at me that I will be ready to meet them head on with even greater enthusiasm. In 2010 after a cancer scare & a 6 year relationship ended within 2 weeks, I jumped on my motorcycle to live my dream of travelling around Australia. I left my job of 4 years managing a busy health clinic & completely turned my life upside down as I immersed myself in over 30,000 km of incredible personal journeys & experiences. My focus in life changed dramatically & my priority now is to contribute, through my lens & the photos I take, to serving the planet.
