Not long now!!

Less than 3 weeks to go until our European + Canada holiday! I'm so excited. Time is going SO fast. I have a lot to do...jobs to quit, things to buy, people to see (though I'm not organising it for once), some last minute things to organise etc etc.

I'm looking forward to meeting people and having fun! I am definitely planning on sticking around for awhile. I want to see things, do things and enjoy myself. I want some more time before I start WORK work. The way I see it, I've been at school up until 2005, then from 2006 - early 2010 it was uni, then full-time work from January up until the middle of May. I don't want to be the person who turns around in 30 years and thinks 'oh. Where has the time gone? What have I done?' I don't want to work so that I can get excited about being able to spend it all on a mortgage or something dull like that (HELP fees...ugh) when I can have a job that might pay less, but gives me the freedom to get out there, make memories and ties that will last a lifetime.

So yes. That's my opinion. I am confident that everything will work out, because it has done so for others less confident and less independently minded than myself. Plus people have suggested to me that I can't(!) do it; that I can't not come home in August. I am fiercely stubborn and willful, so all this has done is made me ever more so determined to prove everyone wrong. Which is exactly what I am going to do.

This journal doesn't run well, but it will do as a first entry.
