Photos: My Scholarship entry - Rambling through Iceland.

I have spent the last nine years slowly daydreaming and wandering my way through an assortment of countries. As a solo traveler, I love to translate my memories and emotions of places and things I've seen with the help of my photographs. It's important to me that my friends and family are able to experience what I see and so through my photographs I try hard to transcribe the textures, details and atmospheres that make up that specific place and/or experience. In Iceland, I was dumbfounded by the sheer beauty and power of the landscape. I felt as though I had somehow transported myself into a Roald Dahl book except that all I saw was in fact real. It is important to me that I be chosen for this once in a life time experience so that I may have the opportunity to learn the skills I need to further my dream of sharing the magic and beauty of all the places I stumble upon.
