Photos: The Pacific Northwest

There's nothing quite like the stillness in nature, the serenity of an unblemished landscape, which is exactly what I found in recent wanderings to Oregon and Washington.

I am a 29 year old, Los Angeles based photographer. When I'd first relocated to LA in 2006, I was employed and mentored by David LaChapelle for a few years, a job so demanding I never got to see the sun. My reply was to begin my photographic endeavors by moonlight, and I'd spent years shooting only by night. I fell in love with nocturnal photography and the creative freedom it allowed. My artistic interests started with painting, but once I realized I could paint landscapes with light, my brush was quickly replaced by my camera.

The love of travel and discovery is so intertwined with my love of photography. I grew up awestruck by NatGeo, and its had a definite impact on my love of adventure. It is such an impossibly vast world we live in, with so many beautiful places and wonderful people: It has always been my goal in life to see as much as one man can and to share it with the rest of the world through my lens.
