I have learned that photography is so much more then just getting a fancy camera and pointing and shooting. Trying to master how to control light and capture that moment to share with others is an art form which I hope some day to master. My passion for photography is my drive and I have spent the last 8 years with no direction or real ambition that was until I got my Digital SLR. At High School I came first in Photography and thought "you know what, I could make this my profession one day" but I went to college and got a diploma in 3D Animation then got a job working for my dad as an Estimator, and have been stuck in that hole ever since. That was until I got an SLR and traveled through Europe. I got my first SLR last year from my girlfriends dad for my birthday, as I had to stop working when my girlfriend got diagnosed with MS and I couldn't afford a dream camera for our dream trip. Being a bit of a documentary buff I have always had a dream to go out and explore the world and show all it has to give, both good and bad through photos. What makes me want to take the best photos that I can possibly take is because I want to one day make photography not just a hobby but a career.
