Hey, my name is Marta! I should be chosen because I have a great passion for filmmaking and storytelling and I am energetic and extremely curious. As a freelance journalist, I try to travel as much as I can to find meaningful stories from different realities. I generally use my language skills (I'm fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish and have the basic knowledge of Arabic) to go around the world.
I have experience in producing and editing short documentaries, covering festivals (cultural and music), journalistic videos (deep interviews) and promotional videos too. My ambition is to be a web documentary filmmaker, someone who combines filming with technology and creates more appealing ways of presenting information.
Winning would mean a lot for me. I would jump out of my comfort zone once again - and every time I do so, something good happens because I get extremely creative!, I would have the chance to interact with a different culture, I would have fun and improve my filming and storytelling skills. That would boost my career as well and augment my nomad experience. What could I ask for more? They would probably the most exciting 10 days of the last months for me!
