I am a photographer with over four years of active involvement in photography and related activities. I have tried out various forms of digital photography including portraits, landscapes and macro, my favorite being travel photography.

I founded Amateur Photography (https://www.facebook.com/groups/amateurphotography) in 2011, a group that invites amateur photographers who wish to share photographs, comments, tips and reference material.

In 2011, I founded Gargi Sarkar Photography on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/rimismagik) and Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/people/rimismagik/). This provided me the opportunity to share my thoughts through my photographs to an audience on a larger scale. It also opened avenues for me to receive feedback and constructive criticism from a larger photography community. In less than two years, Gargi Sarkar Photography has become a community of over 2700 individuals.

I have participated in various photography events and exhibitions, have won three photography competitions and was an official photographer for TEDxChennai 2012. Currently, I am working on a startup idea based on photography.
