My Nana

The World Nomad Film Scholarship combines my biggest passions: film making, travel and the exploration of different cultures.

I spent my early twenties studying anthropology and working around Australia researching culturally diverse communities. I also travelled extensively through out Europe and Asia. I am deeply interested in people and the ways we are all so similar and so different.

About a year ago I started considering how I might be able to tell the stories of the cultures and people I was meeting in a way that is accessible and entertaining. I bought a DSLR camera and fell in love with making and editing my own films. This year I enrolled in film school and have been working hard on improving my filmmaking skills.

My dream is to be a documentarian who tells stories about different countries, diverse cultures and the amazing individuals who live all around the world. Winning the World Nomad Film Scholarship would be a huge stepping stone toward making my dream a reality.
