My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

I am a 27 years old amateur photographer. Since I was a child I was fascinated with the ways someone can express himself, their feelings or even some elevations of senses through photography. I am a firm believer in the fact that photography contains all forms of art in a way, given that one picture can be inspiration to perform any other art. Maybe of course in every art, all artists think this way for their art but even this way I am glad that I’m thinking as a photographer. Nevertheless I never even tried to go pro for several facts. The only way I got some more professional information, except from personal work of course, was a series of seminars that attended last year. At this point of my life I decided that it's time to make a step forward in photography mostly because I consider myself mature enough to dedicate to something with all my powers. I believe me when thinking that this is what I want.

This series of photos that I’m presenting is an attempt of mine to get closer to the sea in a less obvious way. It lasted about 40 days. I started by shooting the sea from a great distance and with absolutely no pressure, when felt right and comfort, getting closer and the last goal was to finally be a part of it. These photos are, in my opinion, the best of every step. The last thing that I want to share with you is that at some point of this journey I actually achieved to smell the sea by looking one of the photos. The last one.
