My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

As a design student I am attracted to capturing images anyway I can. I love how an image can be burned in your memory forever, so doing videos and taking photographs are essential in my life. In both fields I always try to capture “unscripted” moments, when you go off of the trail and find something that feels authentic and unique, like it was meant only for your eyes. I also believe I have a traveler’s heart, looking always for adventures on the road.

I am in a point of my life where I believe that I am meant to be out there, exploring the world and translating it through my work. With your help, I could start fulfilling my dreams.

My Scholarship entry - Through Local Eyes

We were inspired by the many layers that a single place can contain, and how you must go with the flow, chasing those moments you didn´t expect, which ultimately are the most memorable, both for you and the viewer. San Antonio is a dear place to us because, even though we´ve been there many times you never know what to expect.

As a filmaker, I know my way around a camera and edition software, but I still haven´t had chance to work on it professionally. I love the whole process of beginning with just a bunch of ideas on paper and materialize them. Paula has no experience filming, but she´s has been a test subject for many of my videos. I love working with her because she always surprises me with her ideas, intuition and sentivity ( cause she´s basically a heart with legs).

One of our main goals in life is to travel all over the world. My dream job is to become a travel filmaker and explore the globe Departures style! We´d love to find out new ways to capture the feeling of being amazed by our world and inspire people to do the same. Winning this would mean that our dream could start right now. I truly believe we´re the ones for the job.

We´re so ready for you Rio! Bring it!
