My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

I spent 6 weeks traveling around Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia last year. It was important to me that my photos tried to convey not a sense of pity, though, the living conditions for the people in these countries is quite different to my own, I wanted to convey something of the country's beauty and ruggedness and the people's warmth and humor. Sometimes I was overwhelmed with the differences but on my return I came to the conclusion that they are just like us.
I would love to go on the Nat Geo tour because I have a passion for travel and documentary photography. I would love the experience to further the work I have already done and work for such a prestigious publication and with such amazing photographers.
