Living in a violent city like Rio de Janeiro, I was completely touched to see how people maintain their integrity and nonviolent attitude while living in places with very difficult and adverse conditions. Through photography I want to bring more awareness, humanity, respect to the world, I want to show the not shown stories, put light on the shade. Photography makes my world meaningful, expand my vision, moves me in the best way. I believe through image stories we can help the world to be a better place. I’m fascinated about different cultures, I think is so important to show the diversity of life we still have in this globalized society we’re living in. The scholarship will help me to improve what I want to be doing full time(photographing), will improve my vision and open my mind. I hope to gain more experience and improve the technique and the craft in order to touch and transform people’s mind and heart.
