On the Road Again

After a long break for work. I am on the road again. This time on a shrt trip up the California Coast. In Arcata now just drinking a cup of cofiee and getting the feel of the place. Catherine is off on a long walk looking for a nice place to stay for a while.

We spend the weekend up the coast and just started down today. One stop for Smoked Salmon on the way.

I want to see more of the coast, but we are in no hurry.

Sammy Takes off on his first trip alone to Oxford England

After a long trip around the world and a short trip with his school to Japan, Sammy takes off on a trip to Oxford England. I am so glad that he is ready for this trip and can enjoy the world around him.

We have been planning for many years to get Sammy ready to be a world traveler.

I wish him my best.

After 8 months on the road we returned to our home in Granite Bay Ca USA.

Sorry for not posting more. My son sammy is now 13 and was "seen the world".

I have done exactly what I wanted to do. Take my family around the world so my son would have a world perspective as a part of his eduation.

It worked! Now when he does school work we just search the family photos. Most of the time "we have been there" is part of his vocabulary.

Travel with a family is a very special adventure. I hope to capture some of what I learn here in these notes. One day I may publish a book.

Just to explain a bit about the context; I am on an around the world trip with my family. We are three people, Myself my wife and son age 12.
