Well I started on MySpace, then moved to facebook, but now I'm upgrading to a proper blog cuz I have so many pix and stories and they just don't seem to fit on the other pages...

Thinkin' about moving old blogs to here, see how I go for time... Defo got some more trips coming up so it seems this is a good place to put 'em!

Holiday in Cambodia

Was well wicked, I loved it, was more like what I had expected Thailand to be. Also makes Thailand look very rich and well organised. Looking forward to going back. The thing with Cambodians is that they are used to saying goodbye to their family in the morning to go to school or work or whatever, and there’s a very real chance they may never see them again. This makes their interactions very REAL, very sincere.

And the temples at Angkor Wat were incredible. What a hard day that was, trekking around in the filthy heat and dust checking out these ancient ruins, with a little imagination, I could picture what it would have been like in it’s heyday. Impressive. I love Asia. Must do Vietnam and Laos next time too. Of course, South America, in particular Argentina, in particular Buenos Aires is calling me right now also. Hrmph.

Man! This trip has not appeased my travel bug, has only made it hungrier! Mixed feelings about coming home...kisses

Tiger Temple

FINALLY got to the Tiger Temple. So cool, lots of butterflies and trees and different animals, cute lil tigger cubs and big scary tigers, but I am pretty sure they were drugged, well the two biggest anyway. Spose that is a good idea with all the yummy fat tourists around.

Went to the Pavillion and a monk showed me how to pray to Buddha and then gave me a little tiger pendant thing. I had to give a donation, of course. And lunch was free too...with a donation of your generosity considered. I like it, good way to operate.

Met two young aussie boys, they were so nice, made me think about how I miss Oz. But they were exceptional cases I think, not your average yobbos. We went to the Bridge over River Kwai and took some more piccies. Now I want to live in Konchanaburi! So idyllic, really beautiful and what I imagined Thailand to be...Hmmm...will see before I make any decisions on that one!

Now getting very sleepy. Jet lag is a buggar but I am nearly back to Thailand time.
