Life of the homeless https://journals.worldnomads.com/ducbui/ Tue, 7 Apr 2026 15:58:50 GMT World Nomads Adventures Carrying the camera to travel and turning people's stories into touching images, more than anything else, give me a sense of being alive. Through the viewfinder, I am made curious to discover invisible lower layers of a visible world. Spending 2 weeks taking pictures of a homeless man in the Red River, I realised hardship behind his smile, optimism behind his wrinkled eyes and powerful love watching he play with his dogs. My dream of being a travelling photographer has increased when I joined a photo project named Humans of Hà Nội. Spending time talking to strangers around the city have opened my vision to a world full of diversity which I am happy to share with people through one of the most visualised methods: photography. I have also taken a gap year, despite gaining lots of disapproval, to go on an exchange program funded by the US government to their country . This trip, full of remarkable changes, has pushed my passion for photography and sharing into a whole new level.
