Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Camera is getting smarter and smarter; a picture is just a click away. In this day and age of photography, where camera can make most decisions for us, aesthetically it still lacks taste. I see it as merely a tool one needs to master and capture what one has in mind. It’s a click after all, but the experience and thought behind it makes all the difference.

There is an army of photographers equipped with the technical know-how, yet there is room for radical thinking. I feel the inspiration always comes from elsewhere, perhaps the things that you read, mysterious nature or personal experiences. Pictures are my medium to express them. In my opinion the prevailing education system kills the playtime, quintessential for creativity. We are hung up rediscovering the lost child all our life. The pictures relive that child in me and somehow get thought in me unbeknown to me.

Looking ahead this opportunity to work under Jason can act like a catalyst to where I see myself. Self-analysis is often misleading and there is nothing better than an experienced mentor to critique your work. There is so much to do, so little is done.
