Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I'm Daniela from Colombia. It all began last year after a trip to Kenya: what I saw, what I learned and the people I met there was far from my initial expectations. It was a great experience. From that moment I felt the need to show to the world what a nice place Kenya is. Ever since, I came to realize that I wanted to become a photographer, and upon returning to Colombia, I changed my career and started to pursue my vocation: photography.

I want to become a photojournalist, that's the reason why I find this assignment to Oman an unbeatable opportunity. I like taking photos about topics people are unaware of, situations that are overlooked by modern society. I love working with the homeless and people living in the shanties. Why? Because they are the most amazing people I've ever met in my life.

I want to show a little of who I am through my photos, but most importantly who they are.

I love meeting new people, new cultures and I want to pass new knowledges on to people through photography.
