My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I live in Niagara Falls, a very cold and lonely place in Winter, but a bustling, tourist mecca in the warmer months. I see beauty here at a time when others might not. I hike the gorge in winter and it is an amazing place, one not often seen at this time of year.

I am a designer and artist by trade. I love the life of travel and want to experience culture and a sense of place. I will be in St. Lucia in two weeks and will relish every minute with my Nikon.

I am an advanced amateur always learning from my photography and about my photography. It reduces down to a feeling within yourself rather than the feeling exerted around you when you experience nature. And I I like the feeling of just me, nature and my camera.

Why pick me? I have passion for my art, an affinity for nature, a yearn to learn, and sense of adventure. My Nikon is with me where ever I go and I would like to go Oman. And I can make those dates! It would be a wonderful learning experience.
