I was born in the worst part of Detroit, but my family quickly moved; first to Florida, then to Australia.

In my life I have seen many cultures, and I fell in love with the idea that people all over the world live life completely differently. I soon learned that I could show these cultures to my friends using photography.

I got my first camera when I was 16 years old. I took photo's of EVERYTHING! I was such a nuisance to my local film developer, that he taught me how to use his massive Kodak developer machine! Now I could try several different exposure settings and he only charged me for the ones I kept!

Digital photography has allowed me to pursue this passion as a hobby. However I would love to be mentored by a professional on how I can hone my skills and earn money photographing the world! I am self taught, so I LOVE to learn!

If I win, I want to document my learning experience to share it with others who want to learn from Jason Edwards as much as I do. Better photographers will help us all to see the world from a different perspective.

Being a professional photographer has always been my dream, but I never knew where to start. This seems like a good place to start!
