Hey Guys,

My name is Diogo and I'm from Lisboa, Portugal.

I've been creating videos for quite some time now and I have to say it's being a smashing ride. I feel absolutely fortunate to be able to do what I love and every day that passes I'm more sure that this is what I'm meant to do.

Being able to travel with the sole purpose of creating is what I live for. For the past years I have been dedicating my life to filmmaking, focusing on delivering as much as emotion and dedication into every video as I can. One of the goals I set for my life is to, one day, be able to travel and create for a living.

If I get chosen I will be fully focused on making the absolute most of my assignment. I will try to put to good use everything I learn from my mentoring, capture every second I can, embrace the feeling of being somewhere new (I've actually never been outside Europe) and, most importantly, try and combine all of these into an honest and unique documentary about Colombia.

The reason why I believe you should choose me is because I am an honest guy. This might seem kind of strange and perhaps funny but it's true: You should pick me because I'm honest. Why? Because what i wrote above is what I am and what I'm about. I've applied to some contests before and in each one of them I remember trying to write something that would make me pop out, but the truth is that maybe what I should've done is just let you know who I am. I guess I'll find out, haha.
