Cop shop in Antigua

I went down to the Coolidge Police station a couple of days ago to get a Driver's permit. I was expecting to see a big office building and police officers in a hurry trying to track down petty criminals. Instead I was pleasantly surprised. The Police station was in a residenial area and looked like the rest of the houses on the street. It looked like a beach house. It was slighty dilapidated with big holes in the mosquito mesh. There was a verandah up front with two big easy chairs. In the backyard you could see a big freezer with the words 'Cool Beer' scribbled on it. This was the coolest Police station I've ever seen. I sat in one of the chairs to take in the view and man, what a view. You could see the entire coastline enclosing the blue waters of the ocean simmering under the rich caribbean sun.

I was greeted by one of the officers who immeadiately knew what I wanted. It took me a quick 15 minutes to get my license for $50 Eastern Caribbean dollars. Now all I needed to do was drive home, sit on the front porch, take in the view of the sea and sip a 'cold beer'.
