Back to Cusco

PERU | Thursday, 13 September 2007 | Views [604]

It was a restless sleepness night at the Colonial Hotel and we weren't in particularly good cheer when we boarded the early morning bus "out of there".

It was a long and mainly uneventful bus ride back to Peru, changing busses in Puno which required a 2 hour wait then heading to Cusco. The bus had been cheap, but therefore was a slow local bus that stopped often and we didn't get into Cusco until quarter past nine. The scenery had been pleasant and we were in no particular hurry so were happy enough with the day.

We checked back in to the Suencia II where we had stayed before and were very pleased to rover a T-Shirt that had sentimental value to Jo that had been lost by their laundry service.

We went for a walk before going to bed - stopped for a nice coffee and fruit salad at what became my favourite cafe in Cusco.
