I had a pleasant last morning in Lachsman Juhla - breakfast at a cafe overlooking the Ganges (Ganga View).
I took a little half size bus through to Delhi in the afternoon - it was advertised as a deluxe 2X2 coach which was a bad description of the rattly, windy, cramped, little bus it turned out to be.
It was a long, but uneventful trip - from the window I just watched the countryside and various little towns along the way. Only notable things were a tractor with a trailer full of bricks that had run off the road and was in a trench (canal ?) by the side of the road and near a fruit stall I saw a very cheeky monkey steal a bunch of bananas straight out of a womans hands.
Met a nice german couple on the bus from Landshut and had a pleasant chat about what changes to expect in Munich when we go there at Christmas - they also helped me find the Metro in Delhi (they had been there a few times).
It was quite late by the time I got to the main station - so i took a prepaid rickshaw to the hotel. It was obviously a lot nicer than the one's I had been staying at as Peter (my brother in law) had booked it for a 'soft landing' in Delhi before we went off travelling.
I was well asleep when peter arrived around 3am - having been "stood up" by the hotel pickup service at the airport.
All in all - just another day
