Smart Entertainment During Travels

Digital nomads and people travelling a lot usually have a problem with entertaining themselves. Traveling always involves a lot of waiting around, but by changing the perspective, you could also make that time productive. By reading a book, downloading a coloring book app or taking your laptop along to answer emails or finish up some work, you can make the time fly.

You should also remember to pack along some water. You can take a bottle through the security check if you empty it first, and you can fill it up on the other side. Make sure also to pack along some healthy snacks that will keep you full for a long time. Healthy snacks, like Nakd raw bars, are a tasty and healthy choice. With these tips in your sleeve, you will surely make the time fly productively!

Leaving Australia

Eternal longing for the world..... It's been my life since I arrived back to the States. It feels crazy that it's nine months since I back home after being in Australia for a year. Sure, I've been to Mexico and Canada, but nothing seems to help this longing for the world. Does it sound familiar?

I was about to go travel again after Australia, but for personal reasons I decided to stay and stay at least for a while .. I do not know if that was the right solution. I have a beautiful apartment, also a fantastic job I like and a handful of great people, but I'm still not happy here. I did not run out of my own problems, but at least I know that year in Australia was my best time in my life.

I loved the freedom that I had there; I loved the experiences I had to experience, I loved the country, every town I visited, the people, and above all those loving friends that visited me during my stay. The best thing was how I decided to make my own life and do everything just like I wanted. I also loved how my biggest concern was to go to the next town. I can not get those feelings back here, and I do not know if it's going to happen.

I'm not saying that now I'm going back to the world, but it has been much in mind shortly. I would have so much to tell you and tell stories that I do not know where to start. Now let's see what this is going to be or whether we can get anywhere. Just had to share these with you because I know that there are probably plenty of other people who are struggling with the same lover. I will write soon. I promise.

Just Breathe

What should I tell you about Germany? the beautiful variety? That whenever you enter a little village, it is like it's own world with their own habits and words? That some little villages look like from a fairy tale? After this trip I can exactly imagine, where Hansel and Gretel got lost. Germany is full of charm and unexpected wonders. It is so much more than the vibrant parties of Berlin, the tourist crowd in Münich, or the proud Hamburgers up in the north.

To continue my green travels in Germany, I decided to take the flixbus again from Heidelberg to Munich. It took about four or five hours by bus, which wasn't so bad. there was wifi on the bus and I could charge my phone. After getting to Münich and immediately getting overwhelmed with tourists, I decided I will rather spend some time in the nature. I hitchiked out of the city, and my driver dropped me off at Kempten, he was heading to Stuttgart from there. So I just started to walk. And I walked and walked, in the rainy greenness, with my rucksack on my back and my head full of thoughts and impressions still about Heidelberg. And I walked, until I reached Immenstadt. It's a beautiful little city, and I found a lovely little lodge up the mountain with great internet connection. I will stay here for some days to work and clear my mind. Inhale the crisp air of the German countryside, and just breath.

Tips for Greener Flying

We all love traveling. The feeling when you get on an airplane, and you know that in a quick couple of hours, you will be in a new destination, enjoying the sun or hiking on a mountain. On a place so difficult or long to access without a plane, we barely even consider other options. Recently, as the awareness on climate change is increasing, people have started to wonder how we could make flying greener. Here are a couple of quick tips for you to contribute:

Skip business class. Although business class sounds like fun, it takes up a lot of space on the plane. Remember, the fuller the planes are, the less emissions we produce.

Green companies also focus on using better fuels and technologies, such as better aircraft bearings. By flying with these companies, you also support their R&D and contribute to a better future.

Nonstop flights. Planes produce the most emissions during takeoff and landing. Going direct will also help the environment, even if it is a little heavier on your wallet.

Pack lighter. The less weight the plane has to carry, the less fuel they use. Many planes offer travellers to take a free carry-on bag, so you can save the money you splurged on your direct flight.

The impact we make on our planet

I love traveling. I am currently in Heidelberg, which is a lovely German city. There is a magic little castle here. I am visiting a friend, but during the day he is studying at university, so i had the whole day to wander around. I happened to bump into another traveller, which was quite unusual in such a small german town. After bumping into each other three times within the hour, I asked him if he would like to wander together. We climbed up to the tower of Heidelberg, overlooking the whole city, the meadows.... it was beautiful. Popping German chooclate into my mouth, dangling my feet above a fatal 100-meter drop, feeling the wind on my face and the adrenalin rushing through my body as I looked down, I felt alive. More alive than for a long time. I was free, i could do what I want and go where I wanted. In the next months I am planning to do exaclty this. Travel, spontaneously.

But not only this. I want to do it as echologically as possible, and show the world it is possible. Here in Germany I have been using BlaBla car and Flixbus. I prefer buses or trains whenever possible, since the CO2 emission is much lower in that case. Please follow along my travels as I am aiming to do this. the planet Earth is very important for all of us, obviously, so let's help Mother Nature do her job.

Thank for tagging along!
