I can not say if I begun loving travels because it was exciting discover new people and new places or because I found out I was discovering many new things about myself.
And I found out the the meaning of "traveling" is much wider than just taking a plane or a train. The camera became after a while the natural companion: it made me discover a new way to explore what is around, both in daily life and far abroad. Pictures are both the tool and the aim. Every time it is a challenge to look for a new angle or better my angle.
I work as a journalist, since 5 years, which give me many opportunities to get in contact with different stories, both close or far from where I live. I mainly work with video but the quality and the depth of getting in contact with a story trough photography is priceless. Photography gives me more and deeper opportunity to explore the world. My dream is to turn it into a job. I still lack the experience and a mentor: here is way this scholarship sounds like an unbelievable opportunity. I took some workshop and I saw thorough my pictures how extremely valuable having a mentor can be.This scholarship is exactly the opportunity I am looking for to switch my career.
