My Photo scholarship 2010 entry: Tropical WILD LIFE

I use my camera like a painter would a brush. What sets my work apart is that I am an artist with an intuitive sense of light, composition and color.
I believe what makes photography an art form is when a photograph captures an emotion, evokes a mood, makes you feel.Capturing the essence of a place, the soul of a person.
I fell in love with the camera at age five. I was fascinated at the thought that the camera has the ability to capture a moment of time forever. As a young child, instead of going out to play I would sit for hours on end looking at photographs in National Geographic. these photos would take me away on journeys.I dreamed that one day I would be the one capturing these moments.
I was born with a disability. I cannot see out of my left eye. I feel another reason why I bonded with the camera is that it to only sees the world through one eye..
"Emotion's are my paint, the world is my canvas"
